Description
Our drawing Two young women in a Gothic interior is one of the rare interior scenes by Ippolito Caffi. The artist here devotes himself to the troubadour genre. Two other drawings by Caffi, A Couple in Love and Interior of a Church with Figures, take place in this same room. In these three drawings, the artist plays on the effects of light by accentuating the play of chiaroscuro.
