Description
This drawing shows a standing Child seen from three-quarter back view which is preparatory to one of the figures in the Allegory of Winter bas relief which adorns the Grenelle fountain. This bas relief depicts several children sheltering from the cold and warming themselves near a wood fire. Our study is preparatory to the only child standing who turns his back to the fire while the others take shelter under a tent.
